Fashion Sketches Transformed...
The images below were created using Adobe Illustrator in order to recreate the fashion sketches I did in my Fashion Drawing class in college. The inspiration of these sketches were 1950's pin up girls with a nautical theme. I used these images to act as mannequins in the window displays I have made below.
Nautical Spring/Summer Window Displays
The following is a window display that I have created that has a nautical theme. The window consists of two mannequins, a treasure chest that will act as a fixture with merchandise flowing out of it, a table in the shape of a boat with merchandise on it, a nautical steering wheel, and nautical flags hanging above. This window demonstrates that I have knowledge of the principles and elements of design. For example, in this display I illustrate the repetition of line through the lines on the merchandise, background, and flags. This window display is also considered to have formal balance because it fully balanced on each side.
The following is another nautical themed window display. The window consists of three mannequins, a banner, and a table in the shape of a wave that will hold merchandise (such as the shoes depicted in this photo) on top of it. This window display demonstrates my skills to know how to display merchandise in a proper and effective way that will be appealing to customers.
